Slag tembaga kasar is an angular blasting media produced as a by-product of copper smelting. After cooling, crushing, and screening, the material forms sharp-edged granules primarily composed of iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) and silica (SiO₂). With high hardness, density, and cutting power, copper slag is an economical and effective expendable abrasive ideal for industrial surface cleaning and rust removal.
Copper slag performs exceptionally well in removing mill scale, rust, and old coatings from steel surfaces. It is especially favored in shipyards, Jambatan, oil tanks, and structural steel maintenance. Due to its low free silica content, it is safer than silica sand and helps reduce health risks in blasting operations.
